LM4

In this module, I related the most the chapter 4, on nutrition. As a mother of three kids, I have always been responsible for making sure that they eat as healthy as possible, with some treats mixed in here and there. I know that how my children eat while they are growing up, will affect how they eat in the future when they are independent of me. Nutrition is one of the basics of being healthy. I wrote my discussion post on genetically modified foods because it is a current and important debate. I do watch a show called Vice on HBO (they currently have a channel on 133, called Viceland) that deals with current news and controversies. I strongly recommend this to anybody I come in contact with.  They put in perspective how corporations and capitalism have taken over our food source and doing anything they can to make money off of blind consumption.

Through the discussion posts and textbook, I learned about the different facets of health. Nutrition, exercise, and just being aware of your own personal health habits is important to maintain a healthy and fulfilling life. That it is also important to keep your doctor in the know about your health no matter what. Make regular annual physical visits. It is covered by almost every insurance.

I feel I am doing well in the class now. That I have a better handle on your criteria. I spaced out my participation and intelligently commented on other postings and included a text reference, a link, and a personal link to the question being asked. I feel my grades have been appropriate.
